Yesterday I lifted weights for an hour and 45 minutes, ran 3.5 miles and walked 2.75 miles. I am doing a more traditional weight lifting program with more volume and I’m getting bigger and stronger. I thought I’ve been disciplined on the food but apparently not enough as my weight jumped above 190. The body fat reading was 20.9% so lean mass is climbing so we still only have to lose about 9lbs but I’m just not making any progress. First time in my life so thinking it’s age related and we just need to eat a little less. One of the issues I’m having is that I strained the hamstrings with the running. First the left which feels pretty well healed and more recently the right which needs a little more time. That has held me back on the length of the runs as I don’t want to impede healing. For now I’m going to do shorter more frequent runs and add additional walks to the week and reduce the intake. Will reassess in a week.

I do not like how I look.

We are right on the edge here with the 96 half turns and with this new noose that is much more rigid. We’ll see if there’s anything left real soon. Thought about it and I’ve decided to definitively start the Summer cut. Will switch to somewhat lighter weights and more volume to burn calories and ramp up the running to what ever degree I can and supplement with walking until I fully ramp up the running.
